Acts of the Apostles

CE'PTU VI. Chapter 6
IwcI e'kishkiwuk, pic, ki wusimI katshuwat kite'pwe'ie'ntukuk, kipsukwimkItnI mcIkikitowun ki Knishie'nuk okinawan ni ipiniwiIn osam ni oshikamwan, e'kipwapame'ntakwsInIt shi e'tso kishkuk pmitake'wun. 1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
6:2 IcIki mtatsoshItnish, okintomawan ni maoce'tincIn ni te'pwe'ie'ntumnIncIn e'ciuwat otI cI okinawan, Co su wi wunsmon e'winkItmokon Kshe'mIne'to okikitowun icI. e'wipmitmukon, topwunIn. 2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
6:3 OtIcI ie'i, nikane'ituk, we'napmuk kin mamawI nouktso nInwuk me'nwacIkascIk moashkne'shkakwcuk PanakwsIncIn Cipam, ipi npwakawun, e'wi otI, miktumwat mikce'wiwun. 3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
6:4 NIshcI win ninan nkumikwe'mIn niwunanIn moshuk e'winumaiak ipi e'wipmitmak i kikitowun. 4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
6:5 IcI i kItwun okimnwe'ntanawa ki caye'k maoce'ticuk ipi e'kiwe'napmawat StipnIn, nInI moashkne'sanuk te'pwe'intumwun, ipi ni PanakwsIucIn CipamIn, ipi PInip Pnokonus ipi Nayke'na, ipi Taymun ipi Piminus ipi NIkone's te'pwe'ie'ntuk shi E'ntiakuk. 5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
6:6 Ni wie'ni kaciptupawacIn anasmupnIt ni nwakaumIcIn, pic kanumawat niw nIciwan okitonawan shi wiwunuk. 6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
6:7 IcI i Kshe'mIne'to okikitowun wusimI kimaue'nI, ipi katshawat, kite'pwe'ie'ntukuk wusimI kitshik, shi Cinose'ne'muk, ipi ke'cmaoce'ticuk kime'matmocuk, kite'pwe'tanawa i te'pwe'ie'ntumwun. 7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
6:8 IcI StipnIn e'moshkIne'shkakot i te'pwe'ie'ntumwun ipi wishkIswun kitotum, kcI-mas kate'ntumwunIn, ipi mataonInkie'onIn shi e'kiiInIt ni nIshInape'n. 8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
6:9 Pic, cI kipsukwik anIt shi nume'okumkok, iw kashInkate'k otInume'okumkomwa ki, Nipintin nInwuk, ipi sayniniuk ipi E'ne'kse'nte'niuk, ipi ki kaie'cuk Sinishie'iuk, ipi E'shie'iuk okiakwne'twawan ni StipnIn. 9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
6:10 Cocu okikshkItosinawa, e'winkwe'tmoawat iw ne'pwakawun, ipi i cipam iw kaocIkikitot. 10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
6:11 OkinokanawancI, nInwun e'wikItnIt nkinotwamIn otI, e'pcIknonat ni MosusIn, ipi ni Kshe'mIne'ton. 11 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
6:12 IcI e'ki opwe'awat, ni nIshInape'n ipi ni onikansimwan, ipi ki we'npie'ke'cuk, icI e'kipie'naskawawat, ipi okimshInawan icI e'kipitkInawat shi e'tshu, kikitokiw nInwuk. 12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,
6:13 Ipi okipie'nawan, waknoshkacmacIk otI kikItwuk, otI nInI co ponkikitosi e'pcItshItuk otI panakwuk nume'okumuk, ipi i tpakwnuke'wun. 13 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
6:14 Osam nkinotwamIn e'kItot otI Cisus Ne'se'ni NIn nI okupnacton otI nume'okumuk, ipi oke'iacton iw otIshcIke'wun Mosus kamiukoikon. 14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
6:15 Ipi ki caye'k, kacipitupcuk, shi e'tshI kikitokiwuk kan okinapmawan, okiwapmawan shiw shkishkonuk e'shInakwsInIt ke'cwa, mshInwe'n. 15 And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
