"Iwpi JESOS oki[ī]na¯n enonadjin, ekėya¯kotakosit;[1]
[1] okumauwėn Wakwig nenni ichinakosauwan, sakiúmėnit kčkijčp ewi nokanat miketchiëwionennėwog ojomėnabokanig.
For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
[2] Pitch tchi nikwčtago¯t miketchiëwėonenníwog, Chonėäs ewė minat nangot etiso kijikug, ojominabokanig okinachkowan.
And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
[3] Nisso tėpakinig mine sakiüm owapėman anet nibauwnidjėn [e]tauwewėnig, tcho kego kimikėtissėnauwa,
And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
[4] otinan tchi,: chėäg ke kinuä nijomėnabokanig, kwiüg nako kikátipamonim. iwotchi [e]chiäuwat.
And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
[5] Mėne tchi sakiüm ngotwatiso tipakanig , [j]akatiso tipakanig ke; iwtchi mėnč etotuk, mīketchiëwionenniwog¯ e[k]okanat.
Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

[6] Mėnetchi mėtatiso chitte ngot tipakanig sakiüm, owapėma¯n anet nėbauwinidjin, otina¯n tchi: wekonėdji we¯dji kapauwiëg chote kipčyikijik? tchowi kimiketchiëwėsim?
And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
[7] otinauwan tchi: tcho woyč ki[g]inokanikosėnan. Otinan: chėäg ke kinuä nėjomėnabokanig.
They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.[2]
[8] Pčkonėäkin tchi tipčnt[a]g [j]omėnaboka¯n otina¯n opimakčmin: Nido¯m kamiketchië^widjik, m[ėj] tchi otipamakowėniwan; nčtim mėj chkwčyak kapië’chiädjik chkwčyak tchi mij nčtim kapiëchėädjig.
So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
[9] epiëchėauwat tchi kiw, mėtatiso chitti ngot tipakanig kapėëchėadjėk ewi miketchiëwiwat, mėnauwag nanigo¯t chonėach.
And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
[10] epėë´chėauwat tchi kėw, nčtim kapėéchėauwat ewi miketchiëwėwat, nowatch mėtchęch nėgúminikomin, ėnčntamog, mínauwag tchi ouėnuã nanigot chonėä¯ch,
But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

[11] kaötapinamowat tchi chonėäch, omėnda wamawan tčpčntaminėdjin,
And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
[12] ekitog: kiw chkwčyak kapiadjėk, ngot tipakan mėtenno kėmėketchėëwėk, apen tchi kitiji tipamowag‚ čjė tipamauwėäg‚ kamiketchiëwėäg kipeyi k[y]ek mčkwa kitchi kėchat[e]g.
Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
[13] okinonan ngot, otin¯an: Nakaníg, tchowi kimčtchitoto¯ssėnon. Tchoni kėkėwitamo¯sėno¯n ngot chonėäch?
But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
[14] [o]tapin[a]n tip[č]ntamin matchin tchi; n[č]ouėmina tchi ke o chkwčyak kapėë’chėät, kėn čji mėnėnan.
Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
[15] Tchoni kwėúk nėtotisėn, ene¯ntam¯an nako totima¯n? tchoni kėn kėminowapisi, wapėmi[ë]n [J]awčnėma[g] pekanisit?
Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
[16] iw apen chkwčyak k[a]pėechiadjik, kunėka¯nčntakosig, nčtem tchi pėëchėädjėk chkwčya¯k kuīnen¯takosig. Mitchëch nėdomauwag, anet tchi mėtenno kúowčnapima’[u]wa¯g."
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Notes:

In the Potawatomi text, letters in brackets could not be read with certainty. Words added to the English translation are enclosed in brackets. The Jesuits constructed an elaborate orthography that utilized diacritical marks extensively. Occasionally, more than one such mark was associated with a single letter. In that event, the second diacritical mark follows the letter with which it is associated in the manuscript. Similarly, when the html symbol set does not include the letter/diacritical mark combination, the diacritical mark is inserted after the letter. In chapter 22, verse 18, /enemę¨kasoũe¯g/ demonstrates both of these situations.
